PBS (Points Based
System) Advice
Ready for the PBS?
Dear
Employer,
If
you employ international workers under the present Work Permit scheme you will
no doubt be aware of the change to a PBS, points based system, that has now
replaced the old Work Permit system.
The
PBS is a framework that is used to establish both the employers and prospective
employees eligibility for the issue of a Work Permit under the conditions that
are laid down as a part of the Government managed migration strategy.
Under
the new scheme employers are required to apply to the UK Border Agency for
“Sponsor” status and subject to meeting the strict requirements and audit
may then be able to process and issue their own Certificates of Sponsorship using
the secure on-line system.
This
is where we at Culturepot can help. We can guide you through the process, ensure
that your systems and procedures are in tune with UKBA requirements and
your in house teams fully understand the approval criteria for successful
license applications.
Our
support is tailored to meet your changing circumstances from a single or
occasional consultation to a fully outsourced service. We can smooth the path to
gain and retain your sponsorship status and ensure that your future
overseas recruitment fully complies with the new regulations.
Culturepot
is registered with the OISC and has huge experience working with the UKBA and many major clients in the Catering & Hospitality sector including
